I’ve been writing, recording and producing music for years, but I’ve never officially released any of it. For a long time, I kept the music I made to myself.

The journey with Zen with Ben has made this feel like the right time, and the right home, to share that part of my life.

Zen with Ben, Vol. 1 brings together music I’ve made over the past year from the more spacious, ambient side of my work. Some tracks are built around drones and sound design; others bring in piano, guitar, handpan, synths and voices, alongside orchestral arrangements using strings and woodwind.

The tracks move through different textures, moods and soundscapes, but they all come from the same place musically. This album is the first time I’m putting my own music out into the world.
